I absolutely love working with young women who have such a strong focus on what they want to achieve and the goals to get there. Hannah was no exception!
Her and her mother found my info while looking for an Atlanta headshot photographer for updated head shots to be used for her college auditions into the theater department at Coastal Carolina. Of course I jumped at the chance!
Once we decided that location work and natural lighting would be best we got the date booked.
Hannah was fine with doing her own hair but she wanted a professional makeup artist on set. I contacted Beth Corbley from Bloom Bar and she was more than willing to come help out. We wanted to make sure we didn’t have Hannah looking too overdone. It’s really important with any style of head shot, to make sure that person stays looking true to themselves.
She had her outfits picked out and we got in the car and drove down to the location. With each outfit we did a lighter background and a darker background to get a nice contrast and some options. I chose this featured image because in all the years I have lived in East Atlanta Village, I have LOVED this purple wall. It is the back wall to our local vet’s office and I have never really found anyone who would be open to using it for their head shot.
I showed Hannah the wall and she was all about it! I fired some test shots and showed her and we both just started smiling with joy! Her skin tone, hair color, and even shirt color choice just fit so perfectly with it. It was a keeper.
I wish Hannah nothing but the best on her journey toward Broadway! She is extremely talented and has a great family support! I told her when she comes back from college to give me a shout and we can catch up and maybe take some more photos!
