Ashton in studio and location-Modeling session

In Studio Location Modeling | Leah Roth Photography

I absolutely love it when I can be a part of something special with clients.

I was contacted by Ashton’s mother Leslie via the phone and was told that she wanted to book her daughter a session with me and my team. After talking for a bit, she told me that many people have told Ashton that she would be great at modeling. I told her to send me a photo of her and we would get her on my calendar for a session.

When Leslie and Ashton arrived in studio I was blown away by how naturally beautiful Ashton is.  She told me this was her first photo shoot and I could tell she was nervous.  I talked to her about my process and we looked at her wardrobe that she brought. We picked out a couple studio outfits and then some stuff for her to wear on location.

Beth Corbley then chatted with her about the hair and makeup process. We knew that we wanted to keep Ashton very natural but enhanced. When it comes to head shots and especially in modeling, you want a very fresh face.

Leslie and I talked about the possibility of Ashton signing with an agency and I took her through my process of connecting them with some contacts I have here in the Atlanta area.

We then got started in studio with some head shots to get Ashton used to the camera, flash and my process of shooting. She was doing amazing! She took direction like a champ and she started to loosen up a little bit!

We knocked out about 3 looks in studio and then we decided to head out to the Beltline for some location work. Ashton informed me that she wouldn’t be too comfortable with people seeing her getting her photo taken, so I was lucky enough to find a nice little nook that has multiple options for different looks.

She was amazing on location. You could tell she was getting more used to my bad jokes : ) I loved seeing the progress of my clients from the first frame I take to the last frame. Ashton did AMAZING and when we wrapped she told me how much fun she had and her photos turned out so great.

I posted some of my favorites but there were so many to choose from! I am keeping my fingers crossed that Ashton will find an agency that will work with her and hopefully get some work from. She has a bright future doing print work if she wants it.

HUGE thank you to Beth Corbley for hair and makeup. Everyone that day was in such great spirits and we had a blast on set.

Happy Friday everyone. Let’s continue to see the positive side of life and be good to ourselves and one another!

Cheers!

Leah : )
