With Atlanta becoming the LA of the South, it is so much fun working with up and coming actors and hearing their stories of why they want to get into the TV/film industry.
Cassie emailed me asking for some head shots to get in front of some agencies and casting directors for her acting career and of course I jumped at the chance. She came to my house and we got her in hair and makeup and the start of our conversation went like this…
Me: ‘What kind of acting do you want to do?’
Cassie: ‘My ultimate goes is to be a Superhero!’
I knew it was going to be a fun shoot! She explained her story of working for a local paper and being a journalist (classic Superhero backstory) and finishing up her college degree. She has always wanted to try her hand at acting and she was enrolled in some acting classes. The first thing they told her was to get some professional head shots done. Enter me and my team : )
She came prepared with some outfits and we looked through them and decided on the best options. After hair and makeup was complete, I explained my shooting process to her and we got started. We ended up going right in my backyard for a couple of the looks and then we drove down to East Atlanta Village and took advantage of the beautiful textured backgrounds.
Cassie was such a joy to work with and she took direction like a champ! It was so much fun getting to know her and her story and being able to watch her work in front of the camera. As you can tell…the camera loves her!
