I am so lucky that I got to kick off the new year with Kristen! She was my first head shot session of 2017 and it was so much fun with her on set! She is an actress looking to get booked here in Atlanta and she recently changed up her hair game so she needed a fresh head shot to go with her new do!

She opted out for hair and makeup on set (I mean does she really even need makeup…look at that beautiful skin!) and we met around 10am one Sunday morning in the Village and we got to work! I showed her some of the fun areas that we could shoot at and she was all up for it! I learned that she is from Missouri (I’m from Kansas) so we nerded out about all the towns that we both knew and what brought both of us to Atlanta.

For being early January we were extremely fortunate to have almost 65 degree weather! I am going to try and help Kristen get signed with an agency here in Atlanta so she can get to more castings and cold reads. Atlanta is booming right now with acting gigs and I want her to get as much work as possible. I am so grateful that I met her and got to work with her. She was fabulous on set and took direction like a champ! My favorite thing about working with her is this quote:

“Hey Leah,

I think I’ve finally decided! It was hard, there were so many great shots to choose from. And I typically HATE pictures of myself, so, thank you so much.”

That email and client satisfaction is the main reason I love my job and being behind the camera.

Let’s continue to be great to ourselves and one another.
